Join us for an exciting conversation with Debate Committee members, Ravi Paul and Christy Shipe. This webinar will be unique from our previous topic webinars, as it will cover insights into the philosophy of Lincoln-Douglas value debate.

The presentation time will identify possible strategies for approaching the resolution, common pitfalls, and admonitions about the topic.

Speakers

Ravi Paul is Associate Professor of Management Information Systems in the College of Business at East Carolina University. He earned both his Masters and Ph.D. in Industrial Management from Clemson University after completing his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University. He is a NCFCA parent, debate coach, and Chairman of the NCFCA Debate Committee. 

Christy Shipe and her husband Richard have been married for 19 years. They have five children. One of the Shipe children is currently competing in NCFCA. Christy was homeschooled through high school; graduated summa cum laude with a BA in political science from Cedarville University in 1998 and received the Edmund Burke award for social sciences. She participated on the Cedarville debate team for 3 years and is the author of two debate textbooks and producer of companion video. She is a NCFCA parent, debate coach, and a member of the NCFCA Debate Committee.
